Previously, Maemo 5 had a bug. When it detect a wi-fi router that support WPS setup, it will prefer that method, asking between you push the button or enter PIN. But not all public hotspot allow that. They prefer the older way of pass phrase, and they can rotate the password routinely too.
Yesterday, when connecting to public hotspot in a mall near my place, something is different after I installed the PR 1.3 update. The SSID is shown in pair, one supporting WPS, the other as usual. Not so elegant, but seems like user now can connect as usual by connecting to the “hotspot” without “wireless protected setup compatible”. Less hassle of having to go into the Connection setting to save it first before using.
