Less than 2 megapixel, uploads like a 120 minuters

Yesterday, I tried the video function of my camera. No particular subject actually, just being curious. After importing and saving the video using Windows Live Movie Maker, I want to upload it.

The camera give out MTS format AVCHD video. The size is huge. Resampling the bitrate for upload to Vimeo, the four minutes video still cost more than 150 MB. Moreover, it only output WMV or I missed the option to output to MP4.

Uploading the thing is a bitch… took hours whereas pictures could be uploaded in huge quantity in relatively easy way. Fast internet seems to promote consuming videos, but producing and uploading the video itself seems to be still a difficult thing for the local internet provider.
